Falafel

Guess who signed up to make nine magician capes for school?
Me.
And it's cutting into my internet time.
I'm truthful.
But Aidan is so happy, so that makes me happy.
But it's not all work and no play.
I have a new addiction and I'm happy to report it's not even a relative of butter.
Its Falafel, easier on the waistline.
Normally on this day I would be at a backyard BBQ if I were in the States. But, on this Memorial Day I was in the Jewish Quarter of Paris, which in fact has signs, as well as all of Paris, marking the number of Jewish children and teachers taken from the schools during WWII.
A great reminder of why we celebrate Memorial Day.
So here's a big Thank You to all the service men and woman around the world who made it possible for me to enjoy THIS today,
Who knew Garbanzo beans could taste so good topped with cucumber yogurt sauce and snuggled into eggplant, cabbage and carrots?
I'm pretty certain I could be a vegetarian if all the dishes tasted like this.
I'ld give you a recipe for this, but I think it's best if you just come and try it for yourself.

l'as du falafel
34 Rue des Rosiers
75004 Paris, France

Cheers.
