This is the street where I do everything. It is less than a block away from our front door. When I look at it, all lit up during the month of December, I have visions of what Paris should be in my mind.
Holding hands with Brandon all bundled up, watching the kids "peacefully" walk the sidewalks. We stop in for a coffee with John Pierre at the Tabac. When we finish, I dream that we grab a warm baguette to nibble on as we stroll home.
Wait, now wake up Peggy!
The real world goes a little something like this:
Aidan is laid out crying, screaming and kicking on the sidewalk barefoot in the freezing weather. Why is he barefoot? Because he is so pissed that he kicked his boots off. Jaylee is riding circles around me on her bike asking if she can "just go?" and my friend Sabina is dealing with her 3 year old son who is falling out as well. At one point, one of the locals pokes his head out of his store and says "Ca va?", which is "everything OK?".
My reply is "Ca va pas!!!", which is "everything is bad!".
He giggles, thankful he is not me or Sabina.
Finally Sabina and I look at each other and just start snort laughing.
I gotta tell you people I like dreamland much better.
I Believe that I have bitten off far more that I can chew!!!!
I Believe that Aidan has a terrible case of the 2's.
I Believe that some days are better spent inside.
I Believe that tomorrow has got to be better than today...
